Why I Won’t Give You My Number
You’ve finally got the courage to ask her for her phone number so that you can eventually ask her on a date… but she said no. Don’t be disheartened! And don’t push her; there could be a very good reason for her decision…
I’m just not that into you
I might have enjoyed our little chat, but somewhere along the line I’ve decided that you’re just not my type. Some people just don’t click that way, that’s why we don’t date every member of the opposite sex we meet. If I gave in and gave you my number, you’d just be disappointed when you hear nothing back from me.
I’m still looking around
Hey, I’ve just got here; give me some time! I want to enjoy looking around and flirting a bit before I take it further with one person. You’ve just asked at the wrong time. Give me a couple of weeks to settle in before you pluck up the courage to ask again…
You were too forward
Alarm bells ring when someone is asking me about my exes or planning holidays with me before we have even talked on the phone. You’ve scared me off and given me the impression that you won’t leave me alone once you have my number. It’s all a bit much for someone I’ve just met.
I’m getting over a breakup
After much persuasion from my best friend, I’ve taken the plunge and put myself out there – but I’m still newly single. Thank you for giving me the confidence to talk to other people, but I’m not quite ready to get into something new yet.
I don’t know you well enough yet
I’ve said ‘yes’ too many times before just to be polite and have ended up deeply regretting it. This doesn’t mean I don’t want to take things further, I just want to get you know you a little bit more before I give you permission to contact me whenever you like.
Good luck, try again and don’t give up!
Until next time,
The Just Singles Team.
