So, you’re (still) single and it’s getting to the point where you daren’t even open Facebook for fear of seeing another smitten couple out on #datenight, or another “I said yes!!” photo of some horribly beautiful ring. Happy people… yuck.

It’s time to stop with the bitterness, stop drowning your sorrows into tubs of raspberry ripple and be thankful that you’re single! Single life isn’t so bad…

You rule your own social life.

You don’t have to share anything.

 You can flirt as much as you like, completely guilt free!

 You can slob out in your “comfies” all weekend… who’s judging?

 You only have to deal with your own crazy parents.

 You can sleep right in the middle of your double bed (and wrap the entire duvet round you, obvs).

 You have ample free time to devote to your friends.

You will never be told how much food is too much food.

 You don’t any have TV remote arguments.

 You don’t have to feign interest in things you really couldn’t have much less interest in.

 You can go on dates and then entertain your friends with the hilarious/horrifying stories.

 You can do whatever you want, whenever you want, however you want!

Best of all, the world really is your oyster! Being single means you never really know what or who is about to happen and that’s exciting, right!?
