Date Ideas For: Halloween

Let’s all just forget about those scary clowns running around town and embrace the real spirit of Halloween. We’ve conjured up some perfectly shocking date ideas this spooky season to suit all!

City of the Dead tours:

If you live in or are considering visiting Edinburgh this October, then be sure to check the creepy afterlife tours this company arrange for your viewing horror. With events such as the Double Dead Walking Tour, Haunted Graveyard Tour and their Underground City of the Dead Tour they seriously know their haunted city. Their site even has a dedicated section to a poltergeist… anyway enough about that. Take a look for yourself and if you book it for Halloween, let us know in the comments how terrifying it was or wasn’t, we’d love to hear your review!

Theme park events:

If you’d rather something a little more jumpy, the theme parks are closing up for the season with a real BOO! this year. Fancy being spooked by people jumping out at you, touching you and screaming at you? Or maybe you’re the kind of thrill-seeker who enjoys riding the world’s top roller coasters in pitch black? Then go ahead and book tickets to the top theme parks. Just remember these experiences are pretty full on, definitely not recommended for the faint-hearted! Remember to leave your scaredy-cat friends at home!

Frightnight, Scarefests & Shocktobers:

Fancy something local? Have a look to see if anywhere is doing any frightfests, scarefests, scarevilles or shocktobers near you. You’ll find parks, pubs and some farms throwing their very own scare events (cheaper alternative to the theme parks). The best bit about low-budget scare fests is that you’ll probably be laughing all the way. Think people running around in bedsheets pretending to be ghosts, awful zombie make-up and getting lost in hay barrel mazes! Nothing like a bit of good, cheap and honest fun! Some of these events are child-friendly too so take the kids along!
