Little Gestures That Go A Long Way
Don’t get me wrong, flowers are lovely, and I always appreciate the gesture, but aren’t flowers just a bit too predictable? You can’t go wrong with a bunch of roses (unless the other person has an extreme case of hay fever), but thoughtful little gestures like these are the real way to a girl’s heart…
1. Surprise her with her favourite snack
Only got time for a quick coffee date today? Stop at the shops first and bring along her favourite chocolate bar and put a smile on her face for the rest of the day.
2. Leave a little love note
Nothing too deep or anything you haven’t said to her face yet, but finding a romantic message in our coat pockets or on the bathroom mirror makes us feel all mushy inside.
3. Candles. Candles everywhere.
Whether you’re watching Countdown together, eating a takeaway or having a bath; candles are always a winner. It shows you care about the little things and sets the mood for snuggles.
4. Send her funny pictures
Receiving a cute/funny image that no one else will understand lets them know that you’re thinking of them and will get them through the last, painful hour at the office.
5. Bake/cook for her
Even if you hate cooking or it turns into a disaster, we’ll still eat it and pretend we love it because you’re just so darn cute.
Cuddles are greatly anytime, anywhere. Make your girl feel that much more special and hold her for a little bit longer, like you can’t bare to be apart.
7. Take photos
We won’t admit it out loud, but we love it when you get the camera out to document us doing the most boring things like watching TV. If she questions it? The correct answer is “you just look so beautiful like that.” Awwww.
8. Set her screensaver to a photo of you
Take a silly selfie and make it the screensaver for her laptop, phone, tablet… everything! It will make her giggle when she sees it and shows your playful side.
9. Give her full access to the remote control
C’mon, you can live without the Xbox/Sky Sports for one night, can’t you? Treat your lady to a full evening of whatever she wants to watch. Extra brownie points if you sit and watch it with her without getting the hump!
10. Compliment her – often
Even if she’s really bad at accepting them, just know that it makes her feel special. Don’t ever stop doing it.
Until next time,
The Just Singles Team.
