My first rule for any type of makeup is to look as natural as possible. I think highlighted flawless skin is always a good option, nude lips suit day or night time and I would go for a brown smokey eye.

A good place to start is with the base. I would choose the L’Oreal Lumi-Magique primer is at leaves your skin looking dewy and glowing. I would then apply foundation, my choice would be Smashbox as I like the coverage of this foundation. I would apply this with my Zoeva petite stippling brush. I would apply concealer underneath my eyes and set all my face products with MACS Medium Dark Powder.

Then I would move on to brows and shadow. I would apply a light shimmer eye shadow all over the eye and then add a matte brown colour in the crease just to give definition. The Urban Decay Naked Basics pallet is amazing for a natural smokey eye and very affordable as well. I always like to add some shimmer in the corner of my eyes as this makes them look more bright and awake, then apply lashings of mascara.

I would then apply Ardell Demi Wispie lashes as these are thin natural looking eyelashes the strongest eyelashes glue that I have found is MAC Duo Adhesive it will keep your eyelashes in place all night.

If you have naturally thick eyebrows then I would just apply MAC eyebrow set gel so you don’t get any stray eyebrow hairs, which can be annoying but if you need a bit of extra help with your eyebrows then you can use your Urban Decay pallet. Then use the matte brown shadow in there to fill your brows or any other matte eye shadow you can find.

I then would move on to the cheeks and I would apply a peachy pink shade of blush Chanel Cream blusher in 64. It’s such a beautiful shade and it’s really easy to blend. I apply my cream blusher with a Zoeva blusher brush. MACs peachykeen blush is also a beautiful natural shade and I like to apply this with a contour brush as I find I can get more definition with a smaller bush than I can with a larger blush brush.

I then would move on to highlighter. My personal favourite is NARS cream highlight in Copacabana and I would blend this in with my fingers.

I then apply bronzer and I would choose between Nars Laguna or Soleil Tan De Chanel as their both luxury products and will just make you feel that extra special.

I use my Expert Face Brush to contour and bronze my face as I find I get the best definition with this brush. I then use my MAC 109 brush to blend the cream product out.

Lastly is lips! I would choose a pretty nude such as Hue by MAC for your lips but for better colour or a cheaper alternative try L’Oreal’s Nude Ingenue. If you were looking to apply a gloss over the top MACS Underage is a pretty nude colour.

  1. I’m really enjoying the theme/design of your site. Do you ever run into any browser compatibility issues? A few of my blog visitors have complained about my blog not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Opera. Do you have any recommendations to help fix this problem?

Glad to hear you’re loving our blog redesign! Us bloggers aren’t too clued up on the technical side of things unfortunately (we know, we should be!). We do know that it’s looking good on all browsers though – sorry we can’t give you any tips!
