Date Ideas For: Summer Solstice

Solstice

Believe it or not we’ve reached June Solstice, on Monday 20th June we will be graced with the longest day of the year. We’ve had a think here at JustSingles.com on how to make the most of this day, with some excellent date ideas mixed in with events going on across the country.

—————————-

Glastonbury, Wiltshire.

Of course this would be first on our list. If you and your date live nearby we’d definitely recommend this historic setting. You will sadly have to share the moment with possibly 40,000 other people but you couldn’t beat the atmosphere here! Take a moment to just sit, talk and watch the sun come up. The perfect relaxed first date, one that you will remember forever.

Ben Nevis, Scotland.

This is one for the adventurous, the active and the early birds. The group climb starts the night before to ensure that you have plenty of time to reach the summit. You’ll find yourself speechless as the sun breaks through, a very romantic and surreal moment for you both to enjoy. You’ll have plenty to talk about on the climb back down!

ZSL London Zoo – Sunset Safari.

See the zoo come alive at sunset – with tickets selling fast you’ll be sad if you miss this. Walk through hand in hand with your date, exploring different animal enclosures whilst the sun starts to set. There will be plenty of fun additions for the evening including music, food and lots of pretty lighting – perfect for a romantic setting. If you aren’t close to London have a look at your local zoos, there’s plenty of fun to have!

Hampstead Heath swimming ponds, London.

Celebrate the start of the summer opening hours by taking a dip from 7am. This is one for the brave, who are happy to strip down to their swimwear on a date and happy to swim in open waters. Let us know how that goes! Don’t forget your towels.

Festival of Love, Southbank

The return of the Southbank Centre showing us some Summer love, with pop up restaurants, performances and some beachy vibes you could close your eyes and pretend you are in the Maldives. There will be plenty to entertain you and your date, just don’t get lost in the crowds!

Bohemia Brighton, The Roof Garden.

The perfect place if you are in the area to sit down with a glass of bubbly and enjoy the company of your date. Sip on lovely drinks, soak up the last few sun rays of the day and watch the sun go down. Let the light dim and breath in the sea air to calm your nerves on this lovely date setting.

If you don’t yet have a date to share these special moments with then head on over to justsingles.com and start your search – Let us know how your dates go this summer on Twitter using #JustSinglesDates!

Until next time,
