Date Ideas For: Autumn
It looks like change is in the air… Well, in the trees anyway – because it’s finally autumn! It’s the season that no one can spell, the one where everything turns orange and the mornings start to get a little colder and darker. Let’s face it, we’re all going to need a helping hand sweeping up all the fallen leaves, so let’s get dating! Here are 4 of our favourite date ideas for this autumn…
1. Leaf it out (side)
Who said picnics were just a summer thing? You can eat al fresco all year round – as long as you wrap up warm enough. Swap the bottles of chilled champagne for a flask of soup. Ditch the cool box, and eat toasty homemade bread instead.
2. Take things Fir-ther
Why stop at autumnal picnicking, when you can live the seasonal dream full-time?! Well for a night or two anyway. This is the time of year when log cabins with real fire places and hot tubs become incredibly appealing. If budget is an issue, camping is an easier alternative. You’d get just as much autumn, for a fraction of the price.
3. Let the dogs out
The season change brings loads of new things to see. The leaves changing colour and falling, plus conkers and acorns galore. A great date idea at this time of year is a simple stroll through a local park… If you both happen to have some four-legged friends that appreciate a good park or walkies (even more than you do) -bring them along! Dog-walking dates are perfect for breaking the ice with a new love interest. Also even if the date doesn’t go well, someone’s always got your back…
4. Hibernate
Maybe all the bears, squirrels and hedgehogs have got the right idea. I guess sleeping for the whole season is a bit extreme, (but tempting) but on some of those dark nights sometimes the best thing to do is wrap up warm and chill out together. You can watch the leaves change from the window, whilst changing the channel.
So go on, leaf your date breathless with your imaginative date skills, and let’s make a toast to this brand new season!
Until next time,
