Alphabet Dating: N – Z

Aphabet Dating: N - Z

It’s the blog you’ve all been waiting for… It’s part 2 of our Alphabet Dating series, where we take you on a journey through the latest dating trend. No idea what we’re talking about? Check out ‘Alphabet Dating: A – M’ for the starting point and full explanation of our dating adventure.

Massive congratulations if you’ve made it this far through the alphabet and are still keeping up the dating game… That’s a lot of commitment and we applaud you for it! With half the alphabet still left to work your way through, let’s get straight back to it. Enjoy our alphabet-themed date ideas, starting with N….

N is for…

The cheekiest of all date locations – it has to be a trip to Nando’s. Not a chicken lover? Take a walk round your closest nature reserve or have a crazy night out on the town with mutual friends.

O is for…

Take the healthy option and make your own fresh orange juice by hand – perfect for a lazy morning if you’ve spent the night. Or take a trip to your local observatory for a spot of star-gazing… You’ll be gazing into each other’s eyes in no time.

P is for…

If you’ve made it this far down our list, you’re probably in a pretty committed relationship. The ultimate romantic date? A trip to Paris. If you can’t splash the cash (or don’t want to just yet), a trip to the park for a picnic will do just as well – just make sure you check the weather first!

Q is for…

If you’re based in Windsor like we are, Q has to stand for a trip to visit the Queen! Head to Windsor Castle or Buckingham Palace for a guided tour and learn all about the history of the Royals. Or, if you’re like us, you can giggle your way past the suits of armour and half-naked works of art!

R is for…

It’s a bit old-school but everyone loves a roller disco (most cities now have adult-only nights, so don’t worry about being surrounded by under 12’s)! If that’s a bit too much for you, some retail therapy should do the trick.

S is for…

The perfect summer date – a trip to the sea side! Indulge in sticks of rock, scary pier-side rides and a little bit of swimming if the sea isn’t looking to rough (or cold!).

T is for…

Pitch up a tent for a bit of one-on-one bonding time, but don’t let the rain stop you. Move the tent inside and create a mini fort with blankets and fairy lights – cute! For the more adventurous, head to a Theme Park – just make sure your date isn’t scared of heights first!

U is for…

Chances are, you’re pretty comfortable together by this point. So grab your partner and take them underwear shopping. A cheeky trip to the lingerie department will work wonders if you’re looking to set the mood for a night under the sheets.

V is for…

Do a good deed and try your hand at volunteering as a couple. From charity lunches to animal rescue centres, there will be loads of volunteering opportunities in your area. Alternatively, rent a Vespa and make like you’re in Italy, whizzing through the streets as you hold on tight to each other.

W is for…

One of our favourite pastimes at Just Singles, wine tasting! If you’re not up for trying out the fancy stuff, just buy a range of wines from the supermarket and set up your own little wine tasting session at home.

X is for…

It might not sound like the most romantic of dates, but a bit of fun letting loose on the X-Box could work wonders. If your other half is into gaming, this is the perfect chance for you to understand what they’re talking about when they go on about Fifa!

Y is for…

Couples yoga! Although it might not be everyone’s cup of tea, couples yoga can be a great bonding experience. Either that or you’ll end up sniggering to each other as you try and perform the Downward Dog… Just make sure you don’t make too much noise – you might get thrown out for ruining the atmosphere!

Z is for…

A well known first-date location, make the zoo your last stop on the alphabet dating journey. Mix it up a bit and visit one of the wildlife enclosures to feed the penguins for a date that you’ll never forget!

Phew – we’re exhausted just thinking up all of those date ideas! Now it’s your turn to get active and start planning your alphabet dating journey. We’re so excited to hear whether you try this out on your next date and whether or not you ever make it to the letter Z! Let us know if we’ve inspired you & tweet us all the details using #JustSinglesDates.

The thought of 26 themed dates a bit daunting? Try mixing it up and plan dates using the letters of your date’s name or spell out a secret code, which your date will have to guess over time. Remember if you try any of our date ideas, or come up with any of your own, let us know – we can’t wait to hear all about it!

Until next time,
The Just Singles Team
