Alphabet Dating: A – M

Aphabet dating

Been dating for a while and got a little bit too comfortable? We’ve got the perfect thing to spice up your love life. ‘Alphabet Dating’ has taken the internet by storm, championed by mildly-famous people (BBC Radio 1’s Matt Edmondson we’re looking at you), with it’s own hashtag on Twitter.

The Concept:

You and your other half take it in turns to plan dates, using the alphabet as a guide. Work your way through the alphabet and plan a date based around each letter. It’s loads of fun and is a great way to make memories and share the date-planning! Enjoy our suggestions below and let us know if you try any of them…

A is for…

Visiting an aquarium, thrill-seeking at an amusement park, rambling through an aboratorium, or browsing an art gallery

B is for…

Going out for breakfast, showing off at bowling, or romantic strolls through a botanical garden

C is for…

A trip clothes shopping, a playfully competitive cookery lesson, or a hilarious night out at a comedy club

D is for…

A candle-lit home-cooked dinner, fun in the (probably fake) snow as you take on donutting, or going to an old-school drive-through movie

E is for…

Exploring new and exciting places or a city break to Edinburgh (find our date guide to Edinburgh here)

F is for…

Snuggling up under a blanket fort, going for a trip to your local farm, or bring out your inner-foodie at a posh French restaurant

G is for…

Bringing out your competitive-side at golf (mini, Top or otherwise), go-karting or gaming

H is for…

A sunny holiday, an awe-inspiring hike or a trip to the stables for a hack on a horse

I is for…

Slipping, sliding and holding hands at the ice skating rink, going overboard with the sprinkles at an ice cream parlor, or a cheeky trip to Ikea for those infamous meatballs

J is for…

A nice jog around the park (try our Active Date Ideas), jumping into a steamy jacuzzi, or scoff your face with delicious, delicious junk food

K is for…

Screaming your lungs out when you sing “ I Will Always Love You” at karaoke, crafting and then flying your own kite on a blustery day, or spend the afternoon curled up watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians (we know you secretly love it)

L is for…

A long lunch at a local bistro, a trip into London (or any other city beginning with L if you’re not from down south), or an afternoon learning to line dance (trust us – it’s a lot of fun!)

M is for…

A visit to a spa for a couples massage, a cultural trip to a museum or a cosy night in watching a movie (popcorn is a must!)

Let us know if you try out any of these dates, or if you have any ideas of your own, in the comments. Look out for the rest of the list – Alphabet Dating: N – Z – soon!

Until next time,
