A Single’s Guide To Valentine’s Day
Treat yourself!
If you were in a relationship, you’d probably be spending an obscene amount of money on gifts for someone else, so why not spend it on yourself?! Indulge in some retail therapy, book yourself in for a massage and spend the evening at a posh bar with your best friend (your true soulmate). Plus, Valentine’s Day falls on a Saturday this year, so there’s no need to hold back on the vino!

Your timeline is going to be filled with over-the-top statuses and countless images of chocolates, roses and Michael Kors watches – sickening. So, since there’s not going to be anything interesting happening on social media, you may as well log out for a day. You’ll be having such a blast anyway (you’re going to indulge yourself, remember?), you won’t even want to look at your phone.
It’s just another day
And it’s a Saturday, meaning you don’t have to witness any cringe-worthy flower deliveries at work this year. You have the whole weekend to celebrate how awesome you are on your own, so just treat it like any other normal day. So what would you do on any other normal weekend?
Try online dating
There’ll be lots of other singles dipping their toes in the water this weekend – tonnes more new talent to flick through! So, maybe now is the time to take the plunge and get chatting to some new people? You can share your disdain of Valentine’s day or just have a good old natter over Netflix and a glass of wine; either way, at least you can do it in the comfort of your own home and away from all the airy fairy lovey doveyness in the outside world.
If you’re ready to start planning to be pampered next Valentine’s Day, why not start with Just Singles?
